On the afternoon of January 29, 2026 , the Faculty of Information Technology , in collaboration with Rikkei Group, organized a workshop on the topic "AI and Information Technology Career Trends in 2026 – From the Classroom to the Enterprise." The program attracted the attention of faculty members, lecturers, and over 200 students from the Faculty of Information Technology.

The workshop was organized to concretize the orientation of linking training with practice , strengthening the connection between schools and businesses , thereby helping students to access early on technology trends, labor market needs and career opportunities in the context of artificial intelligence (AI) profoundly impacting the IT industry.
During the program, speakers from Rikkei delivered a wealth of in-depth, up-to-date, and practical content.
Opening the workshop, Mr. Dao Viet Bach – Director of Career Guidance and Employment at Rikkei Education, an expert in IT human resource development – presented the topic "IT Job Market Trends 2026," providing an overview of the domestic and international technology labor market. According to shared survey data, although the global IT market is undergoing a significant adjustment, the demand for IT personnel in Vietnam remains high , especially for positions requiring strong practical skills and the ability to adapt quickly to new technologies. The speaker emphasized that the recruitment market is shifting from quantity to quality, placing increasingly high demands on students even while they are still in school.
Continuing the program, Mr. Tran Minh Cuong – Head of Training Department, Information Technology Division, Rikkei Education , who has many years of experience teaching and providing professional consulting to domestic and international businesses, shared content on "Applications of AI in Learning and IT Projects" . According to him, AI is now not only used in specialized artificial intelligence projects, but has become a supporting tool throughout the software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis, development, testing to operation. The speaker particularly emphasized the role of AI-powered coding skills for IT students, considering it a mandatory supplementary skill to improve the effectiveness of learning, research, and the implementation of real-world projects.
In the final segment, Mr. Tran Doan Do – representative of Rikkei Education, in charge of training and internship programs – introduced the OneConnect Internship solution , a platform connecting students with businesses, creating opportunities for students to participate in real-world projects, hone their professional skills, and gradually access a professional work environment. This solution is expected to help bridge the gap between training and the labor needs of businesses .
Besides the thematic presentations, the Q&A session was lively and received great interest from students . Many questions revolved around career orientation in the IT field , the skill requirements of businesses in the context of rapidly developing AI, as well as advanced technological solutions being applied in practice .
The speakers directly exchanged ideas, provided thorough answers, and shared many practical experiences, helping students better understand their career development paths, how to prepare the knowledge, skills, and technological mindset suitable for market trends. The open and interactive atmosphere created a significant highlight for the workshop, contributing to practical value and inspiring students to learn and research .
