General introduction
Information Technology (IT) is increasingly developing and being applied widely in all fields. The explosion of data, social networks, Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence and Big Data are important foundations of the Industrial Revolution 4.0. The demand for specialized human resources in the field of IT, especially Computer Science (CS), is increasing.
On March 9, 2020, the Department of Computer Science was established under Decision No. 429/2020/QD-DHXD of the President of Hanoi University of Civil Engineering. The Department was established to support the Faculty in managing the Computer Science major.
Teaching staff
The department currently has 06 lecturers and 01 teaching assistant. The staff is young, formally trained at home and abroad, has practical experience and high professional capacity.

Student scientific research
The Department always encourages and creates conditions for students to participate in scientific research activities. In recent years, students of the Department have achieved outstanding achievements:
- First Prize of the 2023 National Student Scientific Research Competition.
- Third Prize in the 2024 National Student Scientific Research Competition.
In addition, many students of the Department have graduated and worked at large corporations such as FPT, Viettel, VNPT, Vin... and especially many students continue their research path at universities and research institutes abroad.
