1. Introduction to the field/specialization of study, duration of study, level of education, and degree awarded.
1.1. Introduction to the field/specialization:
Multimedia Technology is a diverse and rich field that combines information technology with art and design to create engaging digital content and multimedia products. Students majoring in this field will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to design and develop multimedia applications and products, including images, audio, video, and other digital content, across various sectors such as education, tourism, entertainment, software, advertising, and media.
The Bachelor's program in Multimedia Technology at Hanoi University of Civil Engineering integrates fundamental subjects in graphic design and communication, core knowledge of information technology, advanced skills in multimedia application programming, multimedia project management, digital image and audio processing, digital and interactive communication, and multimedia data analysis.
Note: The Multimedia Technology major, part of the Information Technology department at Hanoi University of Civil Engineering, does not include courses related to the field of Construction (e.g., structural engineering, architecture, concrete, steel). Applicants for this major do not need prior knowledge of fine arts, programming, or computer skills .

2.1. Practical knowledge and theoretical knowledge:
- Understanding the basic knowledge of social sciences, economic sciences , and political sciences .
- Applying knowledge of fine arts and graphic design to software platforms; video and audio editing , interactive design ; motion design ; creating visual effects and video for application in various fields of multimedia digital content production such as 2D and 3D graphics, film, and television…
- Applying in-depth knowledge combined with modern technologies and techniques (such as virtual reality, artificial intelligence, etc.) to analyze, design, develop, and test application software or interactive multimedia integrated software such as Web, Games, etc.
- This course integrates in-depth knowledge to process and analyze diverse data types (text, images, audio, video) for the development of multimedia applications or the production of multimedia products.
2.2. Cognitive skills, professional practice skills, and communication and interpersonal skills:
- Capable of effectively communicating, conveying, and discussing professional and technical issues in academic and business environments.
- Knowing how to form and organize work effectively in a team.
- They employ a scientific approach to work, proactively and creatively conducting self-research, discovering, analyzing, and solving problems.
- Possesses the skills to utilize modern technologies and equipment; to detect, analyze, and process information to develop highly interactive multimedia applications (games, websites, virtual reality, etc.).
- Possesses skills in managing, planning, and allocating resources in the implementation of multimedia application software development projects.
- Possessing foreign language proficiency at level 3/6 or higher according to the Vietnamese Foreign Language Proficiency Framework is essential for studying, research, and adapting to diverse work environments in the region and internationally after graduation.
2.3. Level of autonomy and personal responsibility in applying knowledge and skills to perform professional tasks:
- Understanding ethical values and social responsibility in the profession, demonstrating professional conduct in academic, business, and community environments.
