Department of Systems Engineering and Computer Networks

General introduction:

The Department of Systems Engineering and Computer Networks was established in 2001, at the same time as the Faculty of Information Technology, Hanoi University of Civil Engineering. Initially, the department was named "Department of Systems Engineering," but in 2009 it changed to "Department of Systems Engineering and Computer Networks." The department is responsible for training students in the "Computer Networks and Data Communication" specialization within the Information Technology field.

When it was first established, the department had only 3 lecturers. By the 2024-2025 academic year, the official teaching staff had increased to 6 full-time lecturers and 1 teaching assistant. In addition, during this academic year, the department expanded its cooperation, inviting many collaborators, including PhDs and associate professors from other universities, to participate in teaching and professional guidance.

All faculty members in the department hold a master's degree or higher, including 2 PhDs and 4 master's degrees. The department always focuses on improving professional qualifications, encouraging young faculty members to pursue postgraduate and doctoral programs, while promoting scientific research and cooperation with businesses and universities both domestically and internationally to update knowledge and advanced technology.
