THE FACULTY OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY ORGANIZES A VISIT AND WORKSHOP AT WOH HUP GROUP: CONNECTING BUSINESSES AND SPREADING TEACHER-STUDENT BOND
This morning, January 17th, 2026, the Faculty of Information Technology organized a field trip for 36 students from cohorts 67 and 68 to visit and work at Woh Hup Group . This activity is part of the Faculty's ongoing efforts to strengthen business connections, provide career guidance, introduce students to real-world work environments, and facilitate internship applications for the upcoming semester .
The Faculty delegation was led by Dr. Le Thi Thuy Duong – representing the Faculty's leadership , and included lecturers Dr. Nguyen Manh Tuan, Dr. Nguyen Hai Nhu, and Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Hai .
On the business side, the delegation was warmly welcomed by the key leadership and management team of Woh Hup Vietnam , including:
Mr. Phan Manh Quyet – General Director of Woh Hup Vietnam , former student of the 45th cohort of the Faculty.
Ms. Trinh Thu Thuy – Lead Team, Human Resources
Mr. Vu Quoc Khanh – Lead Team Structural Engineering
Mr. Trinh Van Duyen - Head of the Architecture Team
Mr. Phung Dang Phuc – Lead Team for Digital Transformation , former student of the 62nd cohort.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Tuyet – Lead Team, Human Resources
Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Tung – K66 , is currently working at the company .
The meeting took place in an open, friendly, and emotional atmosphere, especially with the presence of many alumni from the Faculty of Information Technology who hold important positions at Woh Hup Vietnam . The senior alumni not only shared their professional experiences and practical work environments but also enthusiastically guided, supported, and mentored younger generations of students , clearly demonstrating the affection, connection, and fine traditions of the Faculty of Information Technology .
Founded in 1927 and headquartered in Singapore , Woh Hup Group is Singapore's largest construction contractor , undertaking numerous large-scale and mega-scale projects across diverse sectors, including luxury apartments, commercial towers, train stations, airports, and data centers.
Woh Hup Vietnam Co., Ltd. is a subsidiary of the group, established in late 2022 and officially operational since the beginning of 2023. The company currently has a full range of specialized departments such as Architecture, Structure, Mechanical and Electrical , and especially the Digital Transformation department – a field that opens up many opportunities suitable for IT students.
In just over two years of operation , coupled with rapid project growth and significant staffing needs, Woh Hup Vietnam has expanded to a workforce of 150 employees . From a single office space in the Harec building, 4A Lang Ha, Giang Vo, Hanoi... In Hanoi, the company continues to expand by adding two new floors in April 2025 and January 2026 .
Therefore, Woh Hup Vietnam is a reputable and suitable place for Information Technology students to intern, experience a professional working environment, hone practical skills, and gradually participate in long-term employment at the company.
Through this field trip, students from the Faculty of Information Technology not only had direct access to businesses , gaining a better understanding of job requirements and the actual working environment , but also saw a clear career development path , especially in the areas of digital transformation, technology for project construction and management .
The visit and working session was a resounding success , clearly demonstrating the dedication and efforts of the Faculty of Information Technology in bringing students closer to businesses , linking training with practical applications and societal needs. This activity not only provided practical value to students but also further affirmed the Faculty's role as a bridge between the university, businesses, and alumni , contributing to building an increasingly cohesive and sustainably developing IT community.
