On Wednesday, March 27th, representatives from the Faculty of Information Technology, including Assoc. The Japan Institute of Science and Technology (JAIST) is a leading research institute in Japan, established in October 1990. JAIST is the first national graduate institute in Japan, aiming to make significant contributions to global social development and create a research and educational environment for future leaders who will master science and technology for the future society. Professor Aoki from JAIST directly supervised the research project of Dr. Tran Nhat Hoa, a lecturer in Software Engineering, during his doctoral studies in Japan. Currently, approximately 30% of the faculty and students are foreign nationals studying and working in JAIST's laboratories, including over 100 Vietnamese students pursuing Master's and PhD degrees there.

During the meeting, both sides focused on discussing exchange programs and cooperation opportunities between the IT Department and JAIST. Professor Aoki expressed his desire to recruit outstanding graduates from the department who wish to pursue master's and doctoral studies at JAIST in research areas proposed by partner Japanese companies. These companies would provide financial support for students' research for two years (an average of approximately 140,000 JPY per month), under the direct supervision of Professor Aoki. This amount of financial support is sufficient to cover the student's living expenses after deducting tuition fees.

Faculty and students can seek scholarships from the Japanese government (MEXT) and scholarships specifically for Vietnamese applicants from JAIST. For more information on courses, admission procedures, and Professor Aoki's main research areas, please visit:
