📰 Business Practice – The Start of a Career Journey for IT Students
On November 13, 2025, a group of 50 students from class 70TH2 – Faculty of Information Technology, Hanoi University of Civil Engineering, had a field trip and practical training session at Daiwa House Vietnam Co., Ltd.

This program is highly practical, helping students gain early exposure to a professional business environment , learn more about the career fields the Faculty is training , especially the role and application of information technology in modern construction and smart city management . This activity contributes to igniting a passion for learning and providing a solid career orientation for students from their first year of study .

🤝 Warm welcome from the leadership of Daiwa House Vietnam
The tour took place in a friendly, professional, and thoughtful atmosphere. The leadership team of Daiwa House Vietnam Company personally welcomed and interacted with the delegation, including:
- Mr. Yamazaki Shunsuke – Deputy General Director of Daiwa House Vietnam Co., Ltd.
- Ms. Do Minh Hang - Head of Administration and Human Resources Department
- Ms. Pham Thi Nhu Quynh - General Manager of BPO Centers
along with representatives from the leadership of the company's various divisions and specialized departments.


Right at the beginning of the program, Ms. Minh Hang gave a lively presentation introducing the history, areas of operation, and distinctive corporate culture of Daiwa House Vietnam – a place that embodies the Japanese spirit of "Monozukuri" (creativity and dedication in production).

💡 Inspired by those who came before – The story of a K51 alumni
The most anticipated part of the tour was the career sharing session by Mr. Pham Viet Duc , currently working at Daiwa House Vietnam Co., Ltd. , a former student of the 51st cohort of the Construction Informatics major – Faculty of Information Technology, Hanoi University of Civil Engineering .
With his approachable and enthusiastic voice and engaging presentation style, Mr. Duc provided students with valuable practical knowledge about BIM (Building Information Modeling) in the field of modern construction , as well as the importance of combining technological skills, logical thinking, and communication abilities in a multicultural environment .

His presentation was met with enthusiasm, attentiveness, and admiration from all the students. Listening to a successful alumnus share their experiences was a great source of pride and motivation. so that future generations will strive to study, train, and work hard for the future.
💻 Practical experience – Connecting learning and career
From 2:00 PM to 3:45 PM, the group of students... We had the opportunity to tour the company's technical office area, operations center, and BPO units.
Here, students can directly observe the working atmosphere, production, and operations of the company, especially the application of IT in construction design. Through this, they gain a better understanding of the role of construction IT engineers in the modern Japanese business environment.
The exchange session was lively, with students asking many questions related to career skills, internship opportunities, and personal development at Daiwa House. Company representatives shared openly, providing clear guidance to students on learning, developing soft skills, and fostering a professional attitude.

🎓 Teacher and student's thoughts
The visit left a very positive impression on both teachers and students regarding a Japanese company. The students learned a great deal about the work ethic, discipline, meticulousness, and necessary knowledge required to perform their jobs. The trip gave students the opportunity to connect theory with practice and cultivate a learning spirit in an international business environment. This also served as a great motivation for them to strive harder in their studies and research.
