Student scientific research at the Faculty of Information Technology – Hanoi University of Civil Engineering is increasingly being promoted vigorously and strongly. Scientific research is not only an academic task, but also an opportunity for students to demonstrate their capabilities, creativity, and ability to apply technology to practice. With the spirit of "Innovation Today – Technology Tomorrow," students are transforming each idea into useful solutions, each research topic into a springboard for their careers. This is clear evidence of the slogan: "IT students – Not afraid of challenges, ready to break through!" This movement not only creates motivation for learning but also spreads the spirit of innovation, professionalism, and integration to all students in the Faculty.
On May 23, 2025, the Faculty of Information Technology held the first phase of the 2025 student research project evaluation for four groups. The Faculty congratulates the students on successfully completing their research projects and hopes they will continue to develop and refine their projects for effective practical application.
1) CNTT-2025-4, Research and development of a chatbot application to support students at Hanoi University of Civil Engineering,
Student group members: Hoang Thi Anh Nguyet (66CS3), Trinh Le Truong Giang (66CS3), Nguyen Chi Thanh (66CS3), Tran Hoang Viet (11 Ly-KHTN)
Supervisors: Dr. Hoang Nam Thang, MSc. Nguyen Dinh Quy
Research content: Building an information retrieval system from a dataset of official announcements of Hanoi University of Civil Engineering with the goal of improving the efficiency of information retrieval compared to traditional methods. Instead of simply counting keyword frequency or matching strings like classic search engines, the system the project aims for needs to be able to understand the semantics of the user's query and return relevant results.
Result: Good
2) CNTT-2025-6, Building a Blockchain Network for Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Management
Student group members: Can Tat Duong (68 IT3), Le Trieu Phuong Anh (68 IT3), Hoang Thi Tra My (68 IT3), Truong Quoc Tuan (68 IT3), Nguyen Luong An (69 IT5).
Supervisors: Dr. Le Thi Thuy Duong, Engineer Do Hoan
Research content: Proposing and implementing a prototype system using Blockchain technology to transparentize the pharmaceutical supply chain management process, from the initial stages.
From production to consumption, ensuring traceability, minimizing fraud, and preventing the proliferation of counterfeit drugs of unknown origin.
Result: Good
3) CNTT-2025-8, Automatic design of base plates for high-voltage power poles in Revit and Autocad
Student group members: Do Bao Hien Phu (68 TH2), Le Hoang Anh (68 TH2), Tran Hoang Viet (11 Ly-KHTN)
Supervisor: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Anh Binh
Research content: Developing an automated solution for the design process of base plates, focusing on design engineers and construction units in the power industry. The specific subject of the research is base plates used in high-voltage power pole structures, with complex technical requirements such as resistance to dynamic loads, wind loads, and ensuring durability in corrosive environments.
Result: Fair
4) CNTT-2025-9, Automatically sort and print cost estimate documents in Excel.
Student group members: Nguyen Hai Dang (68 TH2), Nguyen Dang Dung (68 TH2), Le Van Khuyen (68 TH2), Chu Kien Quoc
Supervisor: Dr. Do Quoc Hoang.
Research content: To develop a simple, efficient, and user-friendly VBA tool integrated into Excel to support the automation of construction cost estimate document processing, capable of automatically checking, standardizing, sorting, and printing cost estimate documents quickly and accurately, contributing to improved work efficiency and reducing errors in manual document preparation.
Result: Fair
