On the morning of September 25, 2025, the Dean's Office of the Faculty of Information Technology – Hanoi University of Civil Engineering held a meeting and exchange with representatives of the University Blockchain Alliance (UBA), Dr. Do Ngoc Minh, President of the Alliance, and Mr. Trinh Van Chung, Deputy Head of the Faculty of Information Technology – Nguyen Trai University, a member of the UBA.
During the meeting, the parties discussed key digital technologies – the continuing trends in the IT industry in the context of a rapidly developing digital economy. Blockchain was highlighted as a new foundational infrastructure, an open "public computer," enabling faculty, staff, and students to proactively learn, research, collaborate, and implement practical applications.
The University Blockchain Alliance (UBA), with its mission to connect faculties and universities nationwide, will play a role in promoting cooperation, knowledge sharing, research experience, and blockchain applications. Through this, UBA supports faculty and students in accessing, exploiting, and developing new digital technology platforms.
The exchange took place in an open atmosphere, focusing on specific areas of cooperation between the two units, particularly in:
- Coordinate the organization of scientific conferences, seminars, and academic forums.
- Promote research cooperation and connect experts and faculty from both sides.
- To create opportunities for lecturers to interact, learn, access new technologies, and improve their teaching and research capabilities.
- Expanding opportunities for students to participate in learning, research, and practical experience programs in a diverse and dynamic environment.
The meeting not only opened up new opportunities in connecting training, research, and technology transfer resources, but also affirmed the determination to work together to build a strong IT academic community, closely linked with businesses and society.
The Faculty of Information Technology – Hanoi University of Civil Engineering affirms its commitment to collaborating with partners, pioneering in accessing and applying new technologies, creating a dynamic and modern learning and research environment, and meeting the demand for high-quality human resources in the era of the 4.0 industrial revolution.
