📌 This morning, September 15, 2025, the Faculty of Information Technology (IT) of Hanoi University of Civil Engineering bid farewell to 9 classes of new students from the 70th cohort who are participating in a 3-week National Defense and Security Education (NDSE) semester at the Nam Cao University Campus 2. The classes participating in this first phase include: 70IT1–5, 70TH1–3, and 70IS.
The selection of the first nine classes of the Faculty of Information Technology to participate in the military training semester not only marks the beginning for the entire K70 cohort but also affirms the University's belief and expectations in the pioneering and exemplary spirit of IT students. This is also an opportunity for them to become "pioneers," experience and leave their first mark in the training activities of the course, creating motivation and role models for subsequent classes.
Over the past few days, the Dean's Office of the Faculty of Information Technology, the Faculty of National Defense Education, and the homeroom teachers have worked closely together, providing students with necessary guidance and advice to prepare them for the collective learning and training environment. For most students, this is their first time away from home living under disciplined conditions, so the timely support and encouragement from their teachers is a crucial source of strength.
From early morning, the homeroom teachers were present in the schoolyard to take attendance, hand over the student numbers, and see the students off to the buses. The atmosphere at the farewell ceremony was a mix of excitement and a little anxiety – a characteristic feeling of the first days of a new experience for young people.

In just one morning, the transformation was evident on the faces of the new students: from high school students who had just left school, they were now wearing the green military uniform, neat, solemn, and full of pride. This image was both familiar and sacred, marking the beginning of a journey of growth not only in knowledge but also in life and self-improvement.

The military training semester will undoubtedly be a significant challenge, but it also opens up a valuable opportunity for new students of classes 70IT1–5, 70TH1–3, and 70IS to cultivate teamwork, forge unwavering determination, develop independence, foster love for their homeland, and instill a sense of responsibility towards the nation.
In particular, the military training area at campus 2 is fully equipped with modern facilities and comfortable living and learning conditions, creating an environment for disciplined training while ensuring comfort, safety, and high effectiveness . This is proof of the school's meticulous preparation and close attention to providing the best conditions for students to study, train, and develop their full potential.

With this preparation, after three weeks, they will return to school with a new mindset – more confident, more mature, and ready to continue their challenging yet opportunity-filled journey through university .
✨ Wishing all new students of classes 70IT, 70TH, and 70IS a memorable military training course filled with experiences and success!
