Choose to study Information Technology at the University of Civil Engineering.

Why should you study Information Technology?

We are living in an era of globalization, the knowledge economy, and the Fourth Industrial Revolution, in which Information Technology (IT) and the Internet are the main factors driving remarkable development. Most sectors require the application of IT for efficient operation and management, with the indispensable role of IT human resources.

Currently, the demand for human resources in Vietnam is increasing. According to a report published by VietnamWorks at the end of 2015, in the last three years, the number of IT jobs has increased by an average of 47% per year. However, the number of personnel in this industry has only increased by an average of 8%. The main reason is that the number of recruiting companies increased by 69% compared to 2012 and the number of software companies increased by as much as 124% in just four years.

According to estimates by VietnamWorks, if the workforce continues to grow at 8%, Vietnam will face a shortage of approximately 78,000 IT professionals annually. Furthermore, the opening up to free trade agreements with ASEAN countries will lead to the development of service industries, support services, IT, and e-commerce activities. If you are passionate about technology and choose the IT field, you will have the opportunity to join Vietnam's high-quality IT workforce in the future, with numerous job opportunities both domestically and internationally.
