Life is a grand journey, with each stage connected by a series of trips. Our first journey begins when we become aware of our yearning to explore, to reach out and touch the vast world outside. And we are all travelers making choices, not only to discover unfamiliar lands but also to find ourselves. The path we chose at this future crossroads was Hanoi University of Civil Engineering, and our youth was left behind in class 66CS3, a group of people from all over meeting with a rather uncertain future ahead. The biggest regret was that we had to study online for a long time, seeing each other through computer screens. Perhaps the day that is etched in my heart like the first time I put pen to paper on a blank page is May 30, 2022 – the day we went on a field trip to FPT Software in Hoa Lac, Hanoi. That trip gave me, and my classmates, new experiences, new insights, and shared memories. On a day when dark clouds still lingered in the sky after a summer rain, long lines of buses stood huddled together in the schoolyard in front of building H1.

The students, neatly dressed, happily played together. In that moment, something unusual shone in their eyes—a joy, excitement, or simply a spark of happiness ignited amidst the drizzling rain that blanketed the sky. Rows and classes followed one another onto the bus. My class shone brighter as we all put on our uniforms, took attendance, and began our journey. And it was also the first time we had such a close and affectionate conversation with Ms. Giang—our class advisor. The gloomy gray sky gradually cleared, and the cool air welcomed this special trip. On the pristine white bus 09, I felt closer to everyone than ever before, and I realized that university wasn't just about going to and from school, or about dry knowledge on paper. At HUCE, I gained so much more, and the lecturers were so familiar, so approachable, leaving no distance whatsoever.
The wheels slowly rolled along Giai Phong Street, and inside the vehicle, the sounds of singing and laughter like children could be heard. Throughout the long journey, everyone was learning about the place they were about to arrive at – FPT Software.
F-Ville Software Village, a subsidiary of FPT Software, is the first and largest software project to be inaugurated at Hoa Lac High-Tech Park on the afternoon of May 30, 2022.
This is FPT Software's third campus-style office complex in Vietnam, following the FPT Da Nang Building in the Da Nang Industrial Park and F-Town in the High-Tech Park in District 9, Ho Chi Minh City .
The car slowed down, and we arrived at 2 PM. The first impression was the lush green campus, clinging to the tall, rather old-looking buildings, and the air was noticeably cooler and more pleasant. All the students from the department lined up in a long queue, following the instructors to the meeting hall. The students listened to the presentation and introduction. They were delighted from the first moment; the spacious, cool environment and unique architecture dispelled the stress of fixing code. They entered the auditorium, sat neatly in their seats, the stage lit up, and the English-speaking instructor's voice rang out steadily, starting with an introduction to the company .
With the goal of providing programmers with a creative and friendly workspace, F-Ville is built with an environmentally friendly approach, featuring prominent green spaces: in the park, in the atrium, on the rooftop, on the building's facade, and even at the workstations. Another unique aspect is that F-Ville is designed to mimic the architectural style of traditional villages in the Northern Delta. The design team didn't incorporate an entire village model into the design, but by using folk materials and cleverly planning the space, one can find many architectural features of an ancient village throughout the building.
F-Ville, with a total area of 6.4 hectares, is not just a purely office building but also includes multi-purpose indoor sports facilities, a movie theater; relaxation areas, outdoor sports areas, a gym, a swimming pool, a green park, and accommodation for professionals…
Following that was the development, division of positions, and how to advance within the company, which kept us closely watching. We supplemented the information that recruiters were interested in to help everyone orient themselves towards the next step.
These questions revolve around the job position for those who don't yet know what they will be doing.
The meeting concluded with a fun little mini-game about the information discussed; I really admire the winners of this game. Then we moved outside, had a light breakfast, and went sightseeing. This was just the beginning of that day's tour.
All of you were divided into 8 rows and moved in all directions according to the instructions of the instructors. Without exception, our class split into two groups. I followed a pretty girl in an orange shirt along with half of my classmates. We walked step by step down the stairs and out into the courtyard to get a panoramic view.
This is a place we couldn't bear to leave, a lush green space, built to resemble a miniature Hanoi, creating a familiar moment for everyone leaving the bustling city. The tour guide's soft, steady voice echoed in my ears, and my questions were answered one by one, making me eager to return and reconnect here in the future. Perhaps it was at this moment that I found my way, seeing the path ahead more clearly than ever before. I walked from one area to another, from the offices named after Hanoi streets, to the football field, the swimming pool, the cafeteria, the resort, and the cool, gently sloping bamboo forest.
