MEET FIT-HUCE: “DIGITAL UNIVERSITY - DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION AND AI APPLICATIONS IN EDUCATION & CAREER DEVELOPMENT”

On the morning of October 25, 2025 , at the second floor of the Library building, Hanoi University of Civil Engineering, the Faculty of Information Technology (FIT-HUCE) was pleased to organize the Alumni Reunion Program with the theme “Digital University – Digital Transformation and AI Applications in Training & Careers” .

This is not just a professional seminar, but also a "Homecoming Day" – a day of love, gratitude, and pride , where gray-haired teachers reunite with their former students, who once cherished their dreams in the lecture halls, and who have now grown up, become confident, and shine on their professional paths.

🎓 A warm and friendly atmosphere – A gathering of FIT-HUCE students

From early morning, the school grounds were filled with laughter. Hugs, greetings, and emotional glances as teachers and students reunited after years of separation – all created an atmosphere brimming with love and closeness .

Former faculty leaders and lecturers from various periods have returned, like old ferrymen returning to their familiar dock, welcoming back the "passengers" who have successfully reached their destination. And the alumni – now experts, managers, engineers, and entrepreneurs – upon their return, still cannot hide their emotion when addressed with the affectionate words: "Teacher!", "Madam!"

Some teachers quietly looked back at their old classrooms, while former students choked up as they recounted memories from their days in university – sleepless nights working on projects, hours spent on programming practice, and the encouragement from their teachers whenever they stumbled.
Those memories, through the years, still shine brightly like a flame, warming the journey of growth for countless generations of FIT-HUCE students.

🧭 Program Content – Connecting Knowledge and Vision

The program, led by alumnus Dao Dinh Duong (61MHT), took place in two sessions.

Session 1: “Digital Universities and Digital Transformation in Education”

  Mr. Phung Danh Tai Tat Thang (46PM2) shared many practical perspectives on the trend of digital universities and open education, inspiring students about the future of IT in education. It was an incredibly impressive talk filled with fresh knowledge about education, interspersed with profound emotions as he mentioned his former teachers.

Representatives from the Faculty introduced the proposal to establish the AI Center – AI4CE , affirming the strategic direction of making FIT-HUCE a cradle of research and application. Applying artificial intelligence in training future technology engineers.
    Mr. Tran Duc Lan (37th year) was moved when announcing the plan to establish the IT-HUCE Alumni Network , towards the 25th anniversary of the Faculty's founding – a milestone connecting generations in the spirit of "No matter where you go, FIT-HUCE is still home".

Session 2: “Applications of AI in Occupations and Research”

Professor Hoang Nam Thang introduced ongoing digital transformation and AI application projects, opening up opportunities for students to participate in research groups applying technology in practice.
Mr. Dang Van Cuong (55TH1) – a successful former student – shared his entrepreneurial journey and the application of AI in his business , affirming that the knowledge cultivated at FIT-HUCE is the foundation that has helped him succeed today.

Session 3: Connecting – Collaborating

The networking session between the school, businesses, and alumni opened up many practical opportunities for cooperation: internships, recruitment, scholarships, scientific research, development of the AI4CE Lab, etc.
Representing the business community, Mr. Ho Trung Dung (37IT) affirmed his desire to collaborate with the Faculty in training high-quality human resources, concluding the program with the message "Connect today - develop together tomorrow".

In her concluding remarks, Dr. Le Thi Thuy Duong, Vice Head of the Faculty, expressed her sincere gratitude to the alumni for their support and companionship throughout the Faculty's development. She affirmed that the strong bond between generations of faculty and students and the FIT-HUCE alumni network is one of the key factors contributing to the sustainable development and future of the Faculty of Information Technology. The implementation of the Faculty's alumni network, as well as the university's alumni network, is considered a crucial first step in connecting resources, sharing knowledge, and creating a collaborative ecosystem for training, research, and innovation. This contributes to realizing the university's successful digital transformation goals and moving towards building a modern, intelligent "Digital University" in the coming period.

💬 Moments of connection – Spreading love

The final part of the program was filled with unforgettable moments: teachers and students holding hands for photos, smiles mixed with emotion.
At the intimate party, stories about work and life went on endlessly – as if there were no distance of time or generation .
Many alumni expressed their desire to return to the classroom, share their experiences with younger students , and contribute to building a modern, integrated FIT-HUCE while still preserving the human connection and the bond between teachers and students.

🌟 “The Day of Return” – A journey of gratitude and pride

"The Homecoming" is not just a reunion, but a journey back to the roots of knowledge and love.
The bond between teachers and students – even after all these years – remains like a red thread connecting all generations of FIT-HUCE students.
The teachers – the silent guides – tirelessly nurture new generations; and the alumni, through their success and gratitude, are the true mentors. ">A vivid testament to the value of our beloved school.
