2. Introduction to training specialization, training duration, and degree awarded.

2.1. Introduction to the major

Established in 1991, the Construction Informatics major, part of the Civil Engineering department at Hanoi University of Civil Engineering, has trained thousands of engineers with strong expertise in construction and proficiency in applying information technology in construction. With the Fourth Industrial Revolution becoming increasingly evident, the application of information technology in automation and robotics across industries is more necessary than ever. The Construction Informatics major is always aware of its mission in training civil engineering engineers who are both highly skilled in construction and possess strong knowledge of information technology. This enables them to apply scientific and technological advancements and information technology to bring automation into all areas of construction, contributing to the development of human resources for the construction industry and preparing them well for the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

2.2. Training duration /p>

- Bachelor's degree (3.5-4 years)

- Engineer (equivalent to a master's degree: 5 ÷ 5.5 years)

3. Knowledge and skills acquired after graduation

- Capable of designing, organizing, supervising, controlling, and managing the construction and project management of civil and industrial works, including works with high technical requirements such as high-rise buildings, sports arenas, stadiums, television towers, reservoirs, etc.

- Capable of using various new technologies (e.g., BIM, AR, VR, Computer vision, etc.) and advanced software from around the world (Revit, Tekla, etc.) in the work.

This project utilizes BIM (Building Information Modeling) technology.

Student scientific research topic: Using AR technology in construction.

- Capable of organizing or participating in the transfer of information technology in the construction sector.

- Capable of programming and developing software to automate tasks in the construction industry.

4. Scholarship and academic support opportunities

- Students with good, excellent, and outstanding academic performance in each semester will receive scholarships from the University at different levels. /p>

- Outstanding first-year students have the opportunity to receive scholarships under cooperation agreements between Vietnam and other countries such as Russia, Eastern European countries, etc.

- Students have the opportunity to receive scholarships for short-term courses organized by various countries (such as Japan, Taiwan, etc.) and to participate in international student summer camps.

5. Job opportunities

As part of the Civil Engineering field, graduates are capable of designing, organizing, supervising, controlling, and managing construction and project management for civil and industrial works, as well as special projects.

According to survey results from 2016 to the present, 97% of graduates are working in their field of study, and 3% are working in other professions. According to these statistics, there are:

- 60% of graduates work as construction design consultants;

- 20% of graduates work as construction supervisors or consultants on construction sites;

- 3% are programmers;

- 17% are consultants specializing in new technologies (such as BIM managers, etc.) and information technology transfer in the construction sector.

6. Opportunities for postgraduate studies

After graduating from university, students can pursue postgraduate studies in all other disciplines at the University of Construction, such as Civil and Industrial Construction, without needing to take bridging or supplementary courses.
