2. Introduce training majors, training time, and degrees

2.1. Industry introduction

• Information Technology is one of the top majors chosen at technical universities today, in the context of the explosion of digital technology applications in all areas of life, economy and society. The demand for recruiting IT human resources in domestic and foreign enterprises is constantly increasing, opening up wide career opportunities for students studying this major.
• This course is for young people who are passionate about technology, love creativity, want to master information technology knowledge and realize ideas into useful technology products and services for life. Students are equipped with solid foundation knowledge in programming, databases, computer networks, information systems, and specialized skills in software development, system administration, network technology and new technology trends in the digital transformation period.
• Information Technology Engineers - Hanoi University of Civil Engineering are trained comprehensively, capable of working independently or in groups in technology projects, designing and operating modern information systems, adapting to domestic and international working environments. Students are also focused on developing communication skills, creative thinking, entrepreneurial spirit and self-study capacity for long-term development in the industry.
• Students majoring in Information Technology at the Hanoi University of Civil Engineering will be trained in-depth in information technology, without studying subjects related to the construction field (such as technical drawing, concrete structures, steel structures). Candidates applying for the major are not required to have prior knowledge of programming or computers.

3. Knowledge and skills acquired after graduating from Information Technology

3.1. About knowledge:

• Basic knowledge of social sciences, economics, political science.
• Basic knowledge of mathematics and natural sciences, meeting the requirements for acquiring professional educational knowledge and the ability to study at a higher level.
• Software engineering expertise includes: modeling business processes in organizations; software analysis and design methods; software installation; implementing technical and technological solutions to build and operate software systems; managing software projects.
• Professional knowledge of information systems and communication networks includes: techniques for surveying, designing, implementing and integrating information systems; methods for designing, installing, testing, managing and securing computer networks; applying modeling, simulation and artificial intelligence methods to build data integration systems and decision support systems.
• Basic knowledge of new technology trends such as digital transformation technology, Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI), cloud computing, to adapt to the practical needs of businesses and society.

3.2. About skills:

• Professional skills in the fields of software technology, information systems and computer networks.
• Skills in implementing information technology solutions, learning skills and self-study to grasp new technologies.
• Skills in analysis, reasoning, problem solving, programming computer software, mobile phone software, interactive software such as game applications, Internet applications.
• Skills in deploying and managing information systems and computer networks.
• Skills in applying digital transformation technology to optimize business processes and build digital solutions for organizations.
• Effective presentation and communication skills, working in teams towards common goals.
• Ability to manage and organize the implementation of tasks in projects in the field of information technology.
• Independent working skills, work management, professional attitude and adaptability to modern and integrated environment.
