2. Introduction to training majors, training time, and degrees
2.1. Introduction to the major
- Information Security is a key major in the Information Technology group, focusing on in-depth training in system security, network security, cyber attack prevention and data protection. With the explosion of digital transformation, information security has become a mandatory requirement for all organizations, businesses and state management agencies.
- The Information Security major training program at Hanoi University of Civil Engineering equips students with a solid foundation of knowledge in Information Technology in general and specialized skills in Information Security. Students are trained to be able to design, operate, monitor and protect information systems in various environments, and have the skills to analyze, assess risks and respond to cyber security incidents.
- Information Technology Engineers majoring in Information Security are trained to have a broad knowledge base in Information Technology, specializing in the field of Information Security. After graduation, students are able to work in many positions such as analyzing information security risks, handling security incidents, designing secure architecture for network systems and applications. In addition, students are also equipped with soft skills such as communication, teamwork and self-study skills to adapt to rapid changes in the technology field.
- Students will be trained in Information Technology and Information Security, not studying subjects related to the field of Construction (e.g. drawing, concrete, steel). Candidates applying for the industry do not need to have prior knowledge of programming or computers.
